Selloum Philodendron Plant
Grown widely as an indoor plant in Australia and New Zealand the Lacy Tree Philodendron is equally at home as a garden shrub in temperate and tropical climates.
Large lush heart shaped glossy green leaves that become deeply divided as they mature can reach over 1 metre in length.
As a garden shrub they can reach a height of around 3 metres that produce thick aerial roots that supports the plant and absorbs water and nutrients.
A low maintenance plant for the house, patio or garden that is often used for landscaping in warmer climates where a single plant can spread over an area 3 metres wide.
In colder regions philodendrons can be grown as an indoor plant or in a sheltered position such as a greenhouse or against a north face wall.
Native to South America.
Adaptable to most well-drained moist soils in a protected sunny or partly shaded position.
