Battery and Storage
The power supply for this Samsung camera comes in the form of AA alkaline batteries, letting you capture your desired images and videos. These captured files are stored on the camera's memory storage device which is in the form of an SD card expandable up to 2 GB or an SDHC card with up to 8 GB of expansion. The ES9's compatibility with both Windows and Mac operating systems makes it very easy to transfer the files from the camera to a PC or a laptop using the camera's high-speed USB digital interface.

Performance
The aperture control provides the user with the ability to adjust the amount of light that passes through the lens, which on this camera has a range of f/2.9 (Wide) – f/6.5 (Tele).
