Paragliding in Nepal was started little over ten years ago when companies like Avia Club Nepal saw the attraction of offering paragliding activity in Pokhara Valley, which with its lakes and mountains is one of the most scenic and appropriate spots on earth. Today, thousands of adventure seekers, paragliding pilots, photographers, tourists and locals alike come to Pokhara to experience the thrills and ecstasy of jumping off a high mountains and gliding down to a soft landing on the banks of Fewa Lake.
Avia Club Nepal offers several options for paragliding in Nepal: from very accessible flights from Sarangkot to complete para-trekking packages that combine hiking with paragliding.
Tandem Flying Adventures:- Tandem flying involves a pilot flying with a passenger. Both of them have separate harnesses that are attached to each other and the wing. Paragliding harnesses are built for comfort and safety, they feel more like an armchair.
After take-off the passenger just sits back, relaxes and takes in the epic scenery. Even taking pictures is not a problem. Paragliders can foot launch and gently foot land again and are very portable. We can take them anywhere and fly from most mountains in Nepal.
