4 Movie and 4 Music Programmes
You can choose eight surround sound
programmes tailored to specific
sound sources: four movie
programmes (Sci-Fi, Action, Drama
and Concert) and four music
programmes (Digital, Rock, Jazz and
Classics). Naturally, Dolby Digital,
DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II decoders
are included. The receiver also has
independent 7-band bass and treble
controls, and 20 FM/10 AM station
preset tuning.
Progressive Scanning (NTSC/PAL)
Progressive scanning provides
maximum resolution for a smoother,
filmlike image when viewed on a high
definition TV or large screen. The
DVX-S301 offers progressive
scanning of both NTSC and PAL
signals.

The DVX-S301 makes operation

View Picture CDs
You can view CDs with pictures, both
Picture CD and JPEG types.
Convenient functions allow you to
zoom, rotate, flip and scan the
pictures.
MP3, JPEG, DivX and WMA
(Multisession) Compatibility

making discs with MP3 files, you'll
appreciate the DVX-S301. It provides
full MP3, JPEG, DivX and WMA compatibility with navigation display,
including Fast Forward, Rewind,
Repeat and Shuffle Playback
functions.
Audio Delay for Lip Sync
The latest display devices perform
complex internal processing, causing
time lag in the video signal. It is a
small time difference, but because the
audio arrives first, the viewer may feel
that something is not natural. The
Audio Delay function for Lip Sync,
matches the audio to the timing of the
output of the video on the screen,
correcting the audio — video time lag.
High Picture Quality
A 108MHz/12-bit high-performance
video DAC ensures excellent picture
quality with all video sources. You can
adjust the picture with Brightness,
Contrast, Tint and Colour controls to
make sure you're getting the best
image quality with each video source
and type of room lighting.
High Sound Quality
The DVX-S301 uses CD Upsampling
to raise the CD sampling rate for
richer, more accurate sound
reproduction. Once CD Upsampling is selected, it is automatically engaged
whenever a CD is played. Also
contributing to the overall sound
quality is a very high performance
192kHz/24-bit audio DAC.
