from input to output. Also, Yamaha has
completely evaluated all parts, selecting fine
audio-grade parts like Burr-Brown 192 kHz/12-
bit DACs and refined power supply
configurations for massive power. The result is
superlative sound quality. In addition, the
amplifiers are assignable for bi-amp
connections.
Full Analogue Video Up-Conversion to HDMI
with TBC (Time Base Corrector)
Video composite, s-video and component
signals are up-converted to HDMI output, with a
time base corrector (TBC) in the Analog Devices
high-performance encoder and decoder. In
addition, the RX-V1600 also uses an Oplus™high-performance de-interlacer for the for the
best quality progressive video images (480i to
480p or 576i to 576p). The de-interlacing
technology used in the RX-V1600 is superior to
those of any other receiver in its class.
HDMI Interface
The RX-V1600 offers 2 in / 1 out
HDMI switching with analog video up-conversion
features, providing the most advanced method
of delivering high quality video signals to a
home cinema system to enable the reproduction
of DVD and satellite TV sources with HD quality.
Compatible with the HDMI Ver. 1.1 format, it can
also decode digital audio signals from sources
such as DVD-Audio, CD, Dolby Digital and DTS.
Superior Custom Zone Control
Convenient
operation is
assured, with
control of Main/Zone 2/Zone 3, power,
FM/AM tuning, volume and input
selection on the front panel. In addition,
there is a Zone 2/3 tone control for
ceiling- or wall-mount speakers and
even a separate Zone Remote Unit. For
multi-room custom installations, power
amp channels can be assigned for
Zone 2 and Zone 3 without the need for
extra amplifiers. There is also an RS-
232C interface for a touch-panel
controller.
